In this episode, listeners will hear from SSM Health experts who are dedicated to employee safety. The Director of Employee Safety, Jennifer Luer, shares insights into the risk of violence in the healthcare setting and actions SSM Health has taken to ensure the safety of our employees. Dr. Matt Doll, the Director of the Care for Caregivers Program, describes how prior trauma has a direct impact on behavior in tense situations. Dr. Doll shares insights on how a trauma-informed approach improves the likelihood of successful de-escalation.
