Target Audience: Primary Care Providers including Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics (MD, DO, NP, PA)

Activity Goal: The goal of this activity is to increase knowledge, awareness, and comfort with evidence-based treatment of anxiety in primary care.

Learner Objectives/Outcomes - At the conclusion of the activity, learners will be able to:

·       Discuss the prevalence and diagnosis of anxiety disorders in primary care settings.

·       Describe different treatment options for anxiety and insomnia.

·       Identify appropriate use of benzodiazepines and non-addictive alternatives.

·       Determine how to deprescribe benzodiazepines safely and effectively.
