  • Review the recent trends in congenital syphilis and risk factors associated with opioid use and outline preventive strategies for healthcare providers to reduce transmission.
  • Evaluate harm reduction strategies, including syringe exchange programs and safe use supplies, to minimize the adverse effects of opioid use.
  • Review the latest ERAS protocols, focusing on pain management and opioid minimization, and incorporate these strategies into the perioperative care of patients with opioid use disorder.
  • Identify current trends and treatments in emergency department care for opioid-related cases.
