The first month of a foster care placement is a high-stakes period for identifying unmet needs. This panel brings together pediatricians and child welfare professionals to discuss the logistical and clinical "triage" that occurs during entry into foster care. The panel will examine how to move beyond a checklist approach to evaluate a child’s "whole-health" profile, ensuring that developmental delays and mental health triggers are identified early and shared across the entire support network.

Participants can earn 1 Social Work CEUs or 1 NCPD (ANCC Contact Hour) or a certificate upon successful completion.
  • This session meets Texas Administrative Code requirements for 1 continuing education credit for Licensed Marriage and Family therapy, Licensed Professional Counselors, and Licensed Clinical Social Workers.
