Point-of-Care Learning Tour

The powerful, intuitive interface eeds has developed for Point-of-Care Learning sponsors gives accrediting organizations all the tools they need to administer POCL. We've streamlined the entire process, making it possible to review POCL activities, correspond with POC learners, and revoke POCL credit with only a few clicks of the mouse.

Before exploring eeds' POCL features for sponsors, please take a moment to understand how healthcare professionals enter POCL activites using eeds. The image to the right outlines the process. Essentially, the provider enters the research question, chooses the database he or she searched, and then documents the effect that research had on patient care.	(Click to Enlarge)

The process to audit POCL activities is just as easy. The first step is to select the person whose POCL activities you wish to review. A listing of everyone who has selected your organization as their preferred POCL sponsor will be available for your review.	(Click to Enlarge)

Once you've selected a learner to review, you're presented with a collection of all of the activities he or she has documented. This screen will reveal all of the information about the activity, allowing you to make an informed decision about whether to accept, revoke, or inquire about the activity.	(Click to Enlarge)

Should you choose to inquire about an activity, simply click the "Email User" link that appears above each activity. Your e-mail address and the e-mail address of the learner will be pre-filled, as well as a short introduction explaining the purpose of the e-mail. All you have to do is enter your personal message and click "Send".	(Click to Enlarge)

If you feel it's necessary to revoke credit for a POCL activity, click the "Revoke Credit" link that appears above the activity. You will be asked to provide a reason for revoking the credit, and then the user will be automatically notified of the revocation.	(Click to Enlarge)
